Following hot on the heels of their Jamaican 1967 debut album 007 Shanty Town, Desmond Dekker and the Aces were ready for Action! The following year. Like it's predecessor, Action! #bundled up another slew of the quintet's recent hits featuring 'Don't Believe Me', a stunning example of the rock steady genre with tight vocal harmonies and that Beverley's rhythm section composed of Kingston's finest session musicians, arranged by Leslie Kong. Also featured is the anthemic 'Unity', an historically important message calling for harmony in the post-independence era of Jamaica as a fully-fledged nation.
