Destination Lust: Love In The Jungle (Various Artists) on CD

Third installment of the lusty Bear Family Records erotic CD series, crazy compilations on the 'most beautiful minor matter' in the world. -'Love In The Jungle' presents historical-erotic jewels from the time between 1951 and 1965! -Notes on each individual song by Marc Mittelacher in the colorful, richly illustrated booklet. In the first decades after World War II, talking about eroticism and sexuality in public or putting them on display was socially frowned upon. But behind closed doors, people were already getting it on back then, if only because love, including physical love, was the stark opposite of the experiences of war and annihilation. Music as a reflection of the spirit of the times brought the theme to the turntable in many variations. In this third compilation, we have selected the most exciting and entertaining tracks. The raunchy journey towards lust continues! In addition to female, highly erotic-sounding voices, such as those of Hildegard Knef as Hildegard Neff, Sallie Blair, the actress Lola Albright, Carol Gray and Linda Laurie, burlesque classics reminiscent of smoky striptease clubs can also be heard. As the subtitle 'Love In The Jungle' suggests, we have indeed made our way through the jungle of lustful music, combining rare tracks with nostalgic hits. The Midnighters R&B number Sexy Ways and Elvis Presley's Animal Instinct from the film album 'Harum Scarum', in which he sings about the animal in man with a male-erotic voice, are legendary! Two rhythm & blues tracks deal with the Kinsey Report, which was explosive at the time. Rare tracks - some for the first time on CD - such as the instrumental Take It Off by the Genteels and Bob Hooks' Exotic Betty and the story of Christine Jorgensen round off this CD. Notes on each song as well as rare photos, memorabilia and illustrations in the 16-page booklet.
