The Bushwhacker on DVD

A woodsman, who has been cut off from civilization, has been living alone in the brush for years. When he spots an airplane flying over his territory one day he is able to shoot it down with his rifle. On board the plane are the pilot and three beautiful female passengers. They start to head for what they believe to be civilization, unknowing at the time they are all doomed and await a certain and violent death by "The Bushwhacker." When this film was produced in 1968, very few distributors would show the film. It was considered too violent and exhibitors did not like the mix of sex and gore. It played in just a handful of theaters before being locked away in a vault. The film had been considered lost from 1968 onward but in 2007 a 35mm print surfaced after nearly 40 years. This DVD has been transferred directly from that long-forgotten print.
